Ask any woman what her most significant obstacle is in life, and I bet you'll get the same answer…Time

Try as you may, you cannot stop time. It's moving oh so quickly, and you are just along for the ride. And as you get older, you realize it's becoming harder to remember all of the little details you swore you would never forget. While you cannot stop time, you can do the next best thing…preserve it.

Every stage of motherhood has its different gifts, and they are not without complete dedication and giving of oneself. We are on call 24/7, 7 days a week- there to care for our children emotionally, physically, intellectually, and relationally. The impact of documenting that is substantial for you and your children. As our children grow, our connection with them evolves and changes- each stage has it's irreplaceable qualities and makes a deep imprint on the mother and the child.

When you do a motherhood session with me- it is never about smiling for the camera. We curate through setting and styling, and then the rest is about the in between moments. I subtly guide you and pose you, and your job is to focus on completely on your little ones. We are after those authentic moments that embody the different sides to your relationship. Playing, comforting, and just being together. In preparation I will ask you to think of the things that are most important to you to capture- these can be as simple as playing a certain game, holding your child a certain way... nothing is silly to do- these sessions are about what matters to you.

Getting in front of the camera can be daunting for anyone! I take extreme care to make sure my clients feel comfortable and prepared. My client closet is full of dresses that photograph well and flatter- each outfit is included within the cost of your session, so the additional expenses are kept down. I also have a selection of outfits for baby's and children. Style & Select's online styling tool is a service I subscribe to for my clients as well- I want you to feel your best, so you aren't worried about how you look.

Now is the time

We all have super full plates and the idea of adding something else can be daunting. Take my advice- get it on the calendar- you will never regret taking the time to honor your journey as a mom and record your family's history.
